Black River PM was founded upon the idea of helping people improve doing what they love. Our focus is to help people go through a systematic process that will help them achieve their organizational goals. By focusing on, and honoring, the history that gives an organization its identity, we build out systems that leverage the talent, targets the gaps, and builds capacity to prepare for growth.
What about Process Engineering?
Many industries continue to move toward different process systems, whether that is Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen or others. These systems bring hope and promise to address ineffeciencies. Regardless of the process system utilized, failure to recognize the human system that drives the process is a significant risk to the organization. While process engineering systems have lots to offer an organization, they are not the end-all-be all. Jack Welch's quote "Six Sigma is a quality program that, when all is said and done, improves your customer's experience, lowers your costs, and builds better leaders" contains a lot of truth and promise for such systems; however, if you don't specifically look at the human's roll in these or any system (emotional, impulsive, situationally-oriented) such systems are at risk of human ineffeciencies.
